About the Impulse iQ Instrument

The Impulse iQ is designed to monitor patient’s response during the adjustment and vary the frequency based on patients response.  It has built in sensing capability, detecting when the adjustment is just right and preventing “over adjustment”.  The Impulse iQ provides gentle and precise computer-aided chiropractic adjustments to relieve pain and restore function.  It’s twice as fast as other adjusting insturments and 100 times faster than manual chiropractic adjustments, over-riding your natural tendency to tighten up and resist the adjustment.  The Impulse iQ is the next generation in adjusting instruments, allowing both Dr Josie and Dr Stephen Padd to provide an outstanding adjustment experience.  We are one of the few Chiropractic clinics on the Gold Coast using the Impulse iQ.  

What does an adjustment feel like from the Impulse iQ?

Chiropractic adjustments with the Impulse iQ feel like a light tapping sensation on the area that is being treated.  In most cases the treatment is painless and after the adjustment many patients feel reliefe of pain, a soothing calm feeling and improved mobility.  The force used is adjustable and is set on an individual basis.  Of course, results vary from case to case and chronic conditions, inflammation or muscle spasms may delay these positive effects.
